Behind The Drops
Here is a journey through the past 6 years of Yeni Apparel starting with our newest pieces. It's been a beautiful process and we are so happy to still be here making clothing and providing opportunities to individuals in our community. Many of us don't recognize how blessed we are to be able to do something we love. Make the most of what you have, and spread your blessings along the way.
Spring '24
Back again and our focus continues to be on the basketball community and creating opportunities for young athletes in our community with dreams to play at a high level.

$10 from every pair of basketball shorts sold goes toward a camp we are organizing this summer which will encourage supporting the youth in our community participate in summer camps with excellent coaches.
Additionally, $5 from every other item both in this drop, and all of our current stock, will also go toward this same cause - with over $800 raised to date.

Summer '23
We came back strong for our first drop in a couple years with our first piece of true athletic wear: basketball shorts.

This drop, similar to our "Community Collection" launch in 2020, was focused on sending youth to Dalhousie's Summer Basketball Camp. We believe everyone should have fair opportunities and this is our way of creating opportunities for others.

$5 from every pair went directly to this fund. We were able to send 2 young athletes to Camp this summer, and raised enough to start another fund toward a similar cause.
Spring '21
For this drop we launched some exciting new pieces, including our first pairs of shorts. Our new "Cupid" logo exemplifies the similarities between love and opportunity: we never know when love or opportunity will come into our lives, but we know it's important to be prepared to make the most of both when they do.
For this new collection we collaborated with AquaKulture and donated a portion of our profits to the Out of the Cold initiative.

Back To Hali Drop '21
Reminiscing on the prelude to Yeni Apparel, we dug into the archives and reconfigured the original "Goin' Back To Hali" design by PS Apparel in 2013. PS Apparel was the first brand started by our owner. This drop is very nostalgic and has really brought to light how far we've come since the launch of Yeni Apparel.
Phoenix Youth
Fundraiser '21
Living in Halifax, we all know how cold the winters can be and the fact there are many people in Halifax who struggle to find shelter and stay warm. We wanted to commit some time toward helping those in need.
From December 1st to February 14th we did a fundraiser as well as a clothing drive.
Our fundraiser began with a goal of $250 and ended up fundraising over $700. This was a great success and we were so happy to present Phoenix Youth with the clothing and monetary donations. The clothing drive received an unbelievable amount of donations for items which Phoenix Youth Programs had requested.
Phoenix Youth Programs served over 1,200 youth last year. All donations help youth that Phoenix Youth is serving. Donations go toward food, housing and different programs for youth and young parents in Halifax.
Community Collection '20
This was a very important drop as it was the first time that we stepped outside of thinking about the progress of our company but rather the progress of the the community around us.
We launched our community collection with the intent of helping others. For the month of March we put 100% of our profits toward sending two underprivileged youth to Dalhousie's Basketball Camp.

All items from this clothing drop were upcycled to help reduce the waste the clothing industry causes. This is something we will be trying to include in future drops wherever it is feasible.
Winter '19
This collection was a big drop because we started diving into more intricate designs and focusing on an artistic approach to lightning and electricity and how important it is to pursue your passions and find things you enjoy doing.
Many times opportunities will only present themselves once, so making the most of each chance you get is a major key to how your life will pan out.

This clothing drop was also our first drop in Halifax and the support we received was amazing.
Summer '18
The amount of love we receive from our first drop was incredible and it pushed for a much sooner 2nd collection than anticipated.
With all the love being shown for our first collection we made sure to keep that energy and listened to what was most requested.
Making for a smooth second drop we kept things light and released some T-Shirts for the summer.
Spring Launch '18
& Our Name
Our launch happened in St. John's, NL where we saw the beginning of something incredible. The use of lightning is on full display with our first drop to establish our slogan "Opportunity Strikes". This company was a big milestone and was the opportunity we have been searching for for some time.
Pursue what you love, and make sure to stop on your way to help others do the same, you could be the opportunity they have been waiting for.
